Leif Ericson Park is located between Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights neighborhoods, in the southeast area of Brooklyn. In this park, you will have an opportunity to meet The Leif Ericson Pickleball Club.

This is an inclusive, diverse group in the heart of South Brooklyn that plays and promotes pickleball as a sport for all ages and skill levels. Their goal is to provide, through the game and community, a sense of belonging with friendly competition while strengthening neighborhood relationships.

In their own words, they explain:

“As long as you have paddles and a ball, you're guaranteed to have a good time at the Leif Ericson Pickleball Courts and be part of a welcoming group that eliminates social barriers in our vibrant, diverse community. John J Carty Park is located in the Fort Hamilton neighborhood, in the south corner of Brooklyn. 

Here you can experience a basketball court, 6 handball courts, 10 tennis courts, and 4 dedicated pickleball courts with permanent lines and nets.

Keep in mind that the location is close to an overpass leading to the Verrazano Bridge, which may result in some background noise from passing traffic. Even the occasional hustle adds to the excitement of the game!
