Rusch Community Park is located in Sunrise Acres, on the eastern side of Sacramento. Numerous unique features are featured in this public park.
I will try to list all of them as follows: baseball and softball diamond pitch, skate park, basketball court, multipurpose field for soccer and football, 2 swimming pools, community center, a gymnasium, and 9 barbecues with covered and uncovered picnic tables.
Oh, and with that many amenities, I didn’t remember to mention pickleball courts! There are 12 well-maintained outdoor dedicated courts with permanent lines and nets.
These courts are well known in Sacramento because the local pickleball community often gathers here for meet-ups and to share their pickleball tips, and tricks. So when you come to Sacramento remember to hit up these courts too, and all the other amenities in this park.
The best thing about this park is that all of this is free, courtesy of the local government and community taking care of all of the sports courts!

Best Indoor Pickleball Courts In Sacramento
With colder seasons, pickleball fun doesn't stop. Even though Sacramento doesn’t have that many indoor spots, these can be arranged in recreation and community centers. We found the best one!
5. West Sacramento Recreation Center
West Sacramento Recreation Center is located on the west side of the Sacramento River close to the downtown area of Sacramento.
This recreation center features a multi-purpose field for soccer and flag football, a full basketball court, a volleyball court, softball pitch, a pool, a cardio and strength fitness gym, and tennis courts.
Our indoor cardio/strength is available anytime the Recreation Center is open for drop-in use.
There are 4 pickleball courts divided into 2 outdoor courts with lines overlaid over a tennis court and no net so you will have to bring your own, and 2 indoor courts with lines overlaid over a gymnasium floor with acrylic surfaces and portable nets provided by the center.
