Is Pickleball Popular In Fort Worth?

Forth Wort is a city that is a sort of a conjoined twin with the city of Dallas. Dallas is more famous out of these two for its sports culture, the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA and the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL.

While much of Fort Worth's sports attention is focused on Dallas's professional sports teams, the city still has its own athletic identity.

Fort Worth’s most famous professional sports team is the Panther City Lacrosse Club of the National Lacrosse League. Other than that Fort Worth has interesting sporting events in individual sports too.

Fort Worth hosts an important professional men's golf tournament every May at the Colonial Country Club.

The Colonial Invitational Golf Tournament, now officially known as the Fort Worth Invitational, is one of the more prestigious and historical events on the golf tour calendar.

Fort Worth is home to Texas Motor Speedway, also known as "The Great American Speedway" where one of the most important IndyCar events and six NASCAR events happen every season.

But there is another sport that is slowly making its mark on Fort Worth's sports identity. That sport is pickleball, a new sports extravaganza that has become the most exciting new sport in the entire USA.

With stars such as Leonardo Di Caprio, Ellen DeGeneres, and Michael Phelps adoring this sport, it’s no wonder that it has experienced tremendous growth in popularity!

In fact, it is estimated that the USA lacks more than 20.000 pickleball courts to meet the growing demand.

While pickleball might not be as popular in Fort Worth as it is in some other states, more and more people are choosing to play it. It’s no surprise that there are dozens of pickleball courts in Fort Worth opening in the last few years.

In fact, in the not-so-distant Houston there are more pickleball courts opening up every few months!

    Final Words

So as you can see, Fort Worth is worth checking out and its courts are meticulously maintained.

Also, feel free to explore more courts on your own because there are several dozens of spots in Fort Worth with great courts as well.

From outside courts in chains of sports centers like Life Time and Chicken n Pickle to community centers like Hurst Recreation Department, I am sure you will find something for yourself that requires everything you will need in your fun physical activity.

    I know I did!
