17 Top Pickleball Courts in San Antonio

Pickleball is taking the US by storm! However, it is still not the most popular sport in some areas. You might have noticed there aren't that many pickleball courts in San Antonio, which might discourage you at first.

Fear not! I have gone out of my way to find as many great pickleball courts as possible, and I have succeeded.

Whether you live near San Pedro Park, Alamo Heights, or even San Antonio surrounding areas, you'll find that there are plenty of places for you to enjoy a game of pickleball.

We've prepared a listing of parks, public pickleball facilities, and other types of available courts that are perfect for your play sessions.

Let's get started!

Can You Play Pickleball On Tennis Courts?

Pickleball and tennis are two sports that are very much alike, yet they're rather different at the same time. This might make you doubt whether you can play pickleball on courts designed for a game of tennis.

The short answer is: Yes, it is possible to play pickleball on tennis courts. This is great news, considering the abundance of tennis courts.

In fact, the Tennis Industry Association estimates there are around 270,00 private and public tennis courts in the US.

Considering that the 2023 estimations of the USA Pickleball Association show that there are around 44,000 pickleball courts, you can see how this is great news for all pickleball players out there.

Of course, you'll need to make some adjustments and customizations, but this shouldn't be too much of a hassle - especially not if you're a true pickleball fan!

So, take your paddles and go to McFarlin Tennis Center or Alamo Heights Tennis Center and start your game!

Final Words

There is nothing that should stop you from playing your favorite sport - especially not the supposed lack of game yards (or there being so many of them you don't know how to choose). Luckily, articles like these are there to help you find a perfect place for all your pickleball needs!

It's important to note that these 17 pickleball courts are not the only locations in San Antonio where you can make great memories and enjoy a game. These are just my favorites and some of the places with amazing reviews.

Whichever place you choose, don't forget to bring some water, good friends, and some snacks - as well as positive energy and a bit of competitive spirit.

Good luck!
